CASTISM. I am surprised people don't know this already.

I dont care if i am downvoted on this one but ya'll need to seriously get a grip and underst this deeply embedded issue of our society is also one of the most important factors for the lack of civic sense.


India's lack of civic sense and castism is soooooo unique to India! Years and years if castism has done this to us. Castism created a superiority and inferiority complex amongst people. We hate each other, we are rude, we are poor and we are always in a hurry but never on time because we waste our time on creating too much shit for other to clean up. We think its not our job, our ancestors have not taught us to be considerate to others but rather perpetuate this division which only left us frustrated. We dont just lack civic sense, we also do not know why its important. We think its just following of rules, and we hate rules because we have both opressed lower castes, and we have been opressed by foreigners. And now we dont know where the heck we belong with this moral hypocrisy so we'll just rebel and not follow any rules. Fuck that right? F rules. We dont like following rules.
but nobody told us that civic sense was never just about following rules, it comes from a deep care for each other. And being Indian, why should we care for others? Why not just continue labelling it dirty work and keep it for someone else? Because how else would we feel superior?

I'm sorry for this rant but honestly i have recently just observed alot of caste related hate within our country, and i am not here taking sides, but my intuition tells me that this vile of a cancer is a big reason for social divide that has caused us to lose our empathy for strangers. Any social evil does that to a society.

What we need is a regard for others, we should be considerate and we need a sense of fraternity in general. Which will never happen in a country like India because we cannot seem to lose our age old castist society. It will only grow and spread to other countries and we are seeing it happen already.

I would let the Thar go first, then the farchunar.

hey i have been at your place, where i can't cut them off but what i can tell you is always know you deserve better, if someone doesn't want you it's okay, there will be definitely someone who will, try to stop the thoughts and accept he can't be yours, also don't do stuff you would do for your boyfriend as it will just put pressure on him and things will get awkward and weird, Don't try to impress him just be in the present set boundaries, sometimes hanging in the friendzone works but don't keep hopes. Instead, he climbed the ladder to become CM and eventually PM. This just proves that the brutality and killings of minorities - whether it’s 1984 or 2002 - are silently accepted by the majority in India.

So, if anyone dares to call out or highlight how minorities were and are being oppressed, they’re either shut down (like Diljit’s movie) or worse, eliminated (like Jaswant Singh Khalra Saab). That’s the kind of truth people don’t want to hear.
