I think if you sell some stocks today, 1st they will be deducted from whatever you purchased today and they are considered as intraday (whether you chose long-term option or intraday), and the remaining stocks will be deducted from your holdings as per First In First Out principle. All these calculations happen after the market closes. I'm new and I could be wrong.

But if you wait for a day, only FIFO will apply.

I'm in Thailand right now at the end of a 2-month stay, and I'm traveling at least once more in 2025.

I've never backpacked or done hostels, but I spend less than the average backpacker, because that's just how cheap Thailand is (or used to be). Also shop until I get legacy airlines for budget airline fares. On my last trip I spent 6 months shopping for a ticket.

Travel in 2025 is more exhausting than I've ever experienced. Flying is just awful now. So much of it is jumping through hoops, and your face entered into the airport's system without your consent. After covid I've lost the desire to get to know local anything or anyone. I'm only traveling to avoid the hellhole that is my country of birth. I don't want to be outside without air conditioning, if I'm honest.

Thailand has dropped off a cliff in so many ways, and after 15 years this will be my last trip here. I spent my teens growing up in Bangkok and there's very little of that Thailand that remains. The best Farangs noticed this 25 years ago and they began to retreat from Bangkok or leave Thailand altogether. I defended the indefensible for years and well, I'll remember to not love a country next time :P

I’m not in India but from what I see with my cousins and etc and how they’re being raised, it feels most of the families have kids as a norm or just what they’re “supposed to do” after marriage it’s like the next logical step for them. And I want to note, it’s not the case only in India either, I’m seeing it here in Canada/USA as well! There are very few parents I know in my circle that were intentional and what I consider to be good parents based on everything they do and how they’re upbringing their kids!
