What is wrong with YouTube anymore? Miserable experience when watching on TV or phone because I don't have adblockers on those, a minimum of 15s worth of unskippable ads, up to 60s on TV, and a mobile UI that gets worse and worse every time they update it. Why is this app getting worse with age? I got to a point where I told myself "I'm gonna watch some YouTube to calm down" and had to physically stop myself because I knew I'd get even angrier because of unskippable ads. 4 0 replies

anyone else noticed these app changes to force more ads? Recently, I've noticed a few things youtube has changed in the functionality of the app. 1. they are now no longer letting you scroll through youtube while ads are playing for a video, when you hold and drag it willl just move around the little boxed in video on the bottom right until you close it. 2. when you click a video, it enters into a full-screen vertical ad immediately. 3. when a video is playing, it won't let me search anymore? out of nowhere, i wasn’t able to play any videos on youtube it loads everything but then when i click on a video, it shows me the thumbnail for a few seconds, and then “something went wrong”. i tried reinstalling the app, and clearing cache whilst doing so, and a few other things. nothing seems to work. any ideas? this is only on my phone btw. only in the app. 2 0 replies
