What AI apps are you using? What AI apps are you all using. I am planning on testing e few of them in the next couple of weeks. Things that I am looking for: - Automatic code generation for simple web programs (HTML, JS and PHP) - I want to be able to upload a PDF document and discus the content with the AI. These are complex technical standards with a lot of formulas and tables in it. - Automate email marketing -> automatically search leads on linkedIn and prepare/send personalised emails Any other apps... 5 0 replies
Looking for Creators to Grow Together and Support Each Other! Hey everyone! I’ve realized that growing on social media platforms from scratch is really tough. It turns out that posts, reels, and stories that get likes, saves, and comments have much more reach. That’s why I’m working on creating a small group within my niche where we can support each other and help grow. The idea is simple: we share our posts in the group so we can help each other with likes, comments, saves, and more. This way, we increase each other’s reach and engagement. This group is... 4 0 replies
What are some of the best places to find startups that need technical founders? I'm a senior tech. I have experience managing teams, and building software on anything from server side to mobile, with some previous startup experience. I've been out of the startup world for the last 10 years or so, and I'm looking for something to sink my teeth into, either part time, or in full-time "get it done" mode. I'm also open to finding a founder *(or angle)* on the business side that needs a new project. *(like everyone, i've got my little black book of potentials I'm willing to... 4 0 replies
Curious: Video Content Strategy? Hey everyone, I'm looking to make a call out to any folks who is building something aimed at developers and a technical audience. I’ve been thinking a lot about how developer-focused companies educate their audience, and I wanted to ask: **are explainer videos something you’re considering for your product?** I fee like explaining how your product solves a problem is half the battle. Docs like tutorials, concepts and walkthroughs are great (already proven), but for some, a clear, engaging video can bridge the gap between “I kind of get... 1 0 replies
Seeking Advice on Pre-Seed Fundraising and VC Outreach Hi everyone, I’ve finalized my pitch deck and am currently raising pre-seed funding to test commercial and field technical viability over 24 months. At this stage, I have a market opportunity supported by independent market research and an LOI with the university to collaborate (engaged as consultants under a specific scope of work to navigate IP-related concerns that otherwise future investors would be concerned about). For context, the venture is based in Australia and it is related to Renewable Energy technologies. While I’m familiar with the general fundraising process... 2 0 replies
What Are You Building in 2025 and How Are You Planning to Sell It? As we gear up for 2025, I’m super curious about what cool SaaS projects you all are cooking up. What are you planning to build? Also, how do you plan to get it out there? Are you going for the classic sales route, diving into digital marketing, or trying something new like partnerships or community-driven stuff? 3 0 replies
Rethinking Fundraising: Could This Model Help Charities and Businesses Thrive Together? Hi everyone, After lurking on this board for months I have been building out an idea that has really grabbed at my heart. I’ve been working on an idea for a platform that connects businesses and charities in a way that creates value for everyone involved. I feel passionately about the mission, but I want to make sure that I am not running in blind and want to see what major hurdles/deficiencies there are with my vision. The concept is simple: Charities can raise funds for their mission without... 5 0 replies
Should I accept stock or just quit the startup entirely? I started working for a startup part-time for free a couple of months ago. They told me they wanted to bring on another co-founder to their team and I was a perfect fit. I’m a software engineer for my full-time job, so this is just a side project. I also have young children, so that takes a lot of time as well. I made these things clear from the start that I can’t work on this full-time and the other co-founders don’t either. I didn’t think it would be... 1 0 replies

What legal headaches do you have running your startup? Hey friends- I've been thinking of starting a company specifically tailored towards solving the legal needs of startups. There are lots of areas in here that might be worth exploring: CLM, Due Diligence, etc., but I'd like to learn more. What are your biggest legal headaches? What products have you tried to solve them? Why have they failed? 4 0 replies
Resources on how founders did their early interviews to validate/refine ideas and offerings I would like some resources on what (didnt) worked on how early founders did their early validation, especially for B2B ideas. It is true that if one cant find people for early interviews, it will be hard to find people to sell to. But even if one is from the same field and/or can search for or know appropriate people to reach out to, there is not a lot of battle stories and resources on 'how' people went about it from there, and what worked and equally what didnt.... 1 0 replies
How I Lost a Client Over a Contract (and What I’m Doing About It) A few months ago, I lost one of my best clients. Not because of bad service or missed deadlines, but because of a simple contract mistake. I was juggling too many tasks managing clients, sending invoices, keeping the business running. The contract renewal date slipped past me, and by the time I realized, it was too late. They moved on to another service provider. That experience hit me hard. I’m not a lawyer, and hiring one for every contract just isn’t realistic. I tried using templates, but customizing them... 5 0 replies
How I Found Reliable Talent for My Bootstrapped Startup Finding reliable talent for your startup can be tough, so I wanted to share some things that have worked for me and my startups: 1. **Hackathons**: Hackathons are everywhere, and they're great for spotting talent. Check out the projects not just for ideas but to find skilled people. Hackers love recognition and knowing their work opens doors to new opportunities. Many of them are eager to start their own ventures. *BTW - Solana is running an AI-focused hackathon right now.* in case you are interested 2. **Discord Communities**: Join... 4 0 replies
A different strategy - no co-founder but hire a smaller team with much higher equity. Like founders-mode but with really senior people. I'm working on another startup idea but I want to do it differently this time. This will be my fourth. My second I brought in a real CEO that was basically a well known CEO in the industry at the time. He helped us raise money but he basically took completely control of the company and was an idiot frankly. He killed the company, managed to sell it to a well known startup, then killed that company too! The third I was CEO by myself and ran it for... 2 0 replies
UK homemade ointment/salve Hi! I’ve been making for 6 years couple of types of organic homemade salve/ointment and although I said I’ll never sell it, every single person that ever tried it,told me that I should. I make a big batch 2 3 times a year, and absolutely everyone is asking all year round,if I can give them some more or when will I make another batch again. I know it is really a good product, and anyone who would try it would definitely want more,so I know it would work as a... 5 0 replies
Giving two board seats to investors in pre-seed We’re in the final stages of closing our pre-seed investment round, and we’re facing a bit of a dilemma. Two VCs are investing: VC A is putting in $200K, and VC B is investing $150K. The issue is that both investors want a seat on our board. From what we’ve read, it’s generally advised to limit the number of investor board seats during the early stages to avoid losing control over strategic decisions. The standard practice seems to be to add *one* investor board seat per funding round. We... 2 0 replies
How to organize data when starting a company? As the title implies, I'm trying to start my own company, but I have so many notes everywhere, it starts to be overwhelming and I feel like I'm falling prey to analysis paralysis. I have a cork board with cards, I use Trello, One Note, I have Excel spreadsheets, so many Word documents, etc. but it all is super confusing. What do you guys do to streamline the process and make it visually convenient? Thanks a lot! :) 5 0 replies
Are technical co-founders supposed to build the entire app!? (As a technical founder) I came across a post yesterday about someone being fed up with not being able to find a technical founder to build their app. As someone with 15 years experience as an engineer and in startups I think this is mind blowing. It’s a little bit like someone saying I started a company that goes to the moon and for 50% of the company, I will let you build the rocket! A technical founder who has to build the app undoubtedly would spend months working nights and weekends getting... 3 0 replies
Anyone know services which help dissolve a Delaware C Corp I used Stripe Atlas to make my C Corp, but turns out its not compliant in my country, India due to changed regulations. So, I gotta dissolve it now and start over. Stripe Atlas has 3 partners SimpleClosure LegalInc Elevate but they're charging quite a lot. Please share any other services or CPAs/CAs who can help us dissolve asap as we want to finish it before the New Year, so we wouldn't have to file taxes for 2025. TIA :) 4 0 replies
