Changing a static image map to an interactive (HTML5) map. Any loss in SEO?

Not an SEO expert by any means! I'd like to replace an image (.PNG) with HTML5. I'm thinking I'm going to lose some Google juice as I will no longer have an image on the page, image won't be indexed, etc. It looks like I can add HTML to the HTML5 element. Any advice? Thanks!!
