    Sentiments towards Marwaris?

Trying not to be very controversial over here. But honestly, what are your sentiments towards marwari folk who live in your areas? Are there many people like that? Have you ever talked to them? Are they mostly merchants? Fo they do good deeds? Do they speak your language? Thanks.

Dear NE, this sub is pretty much representative of what happens when u have unchecked large scale immigration.

I don't know how many true natives from NE are here actually. But it's fare to say that mainlanders make the majority chunk of participants in this sub. So any discussion regarding NE gets derailed when mainlanders try to shove in their own point of views. Although it's a global internet phenomenon, when niche closely knit online communities get destroyed by the pouring of people who really don't understand the things they are talking about, they don't even attempt to understand. Instead they try to destroy the culture of...

    I'm concerned with this sub...

I will warn you before I start, I'm not from NE neither have I been there so I have no rights to confidently talk about your social politics like immigration and all that stuff which I'm with you guys btw, I'm here to say one thing and one thing only... SOME USERS ARE ENGAGING IN EUGENICS RELATED STUFF which most civilised pleople have left after mid 20th centuary, now I know its a minority in this sub, but most of you guys don't seem to say anything against it,...

How will NE voice ever be heard, if delimitation happens based on population.

If delimitation happens based on population, these are the forecast/results of the seats in parliament. (This is just the forecast and to be implemented after 2026 census it seems) North 1. Rajasthan-19 2. Bihar-30 3. Madhya pradesh -18 4.UP - 48 5. Maharashtra-20 South 1. Tamilnadu -2 2. Andhra Pradesh -3 3. Karnataka -8 4. Kerala-1 5. Telengana -3 https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thehindu.com/news/national/understanding-the-delimitation-exercise-explained/article67819203.ece/amp/ Let's be real, unless we pump out 30 babies per women, we're never seeing better representation among the States of India, I wished we had a more federalised structure...

Why do people outside NE say things like oh you look like my _____ friend

I am so tired of this.Every time I meet someone new outside of NE the first comment they usually make is oh you look exactly like my Nepali,Manipuri,Arunachali etc. friend(this is my personal experience) If it’s once might be coincidence but no it has gotten to a point where I get offended when someone says this cause it sounds blatantly racist to me.Are they implying we look the same cause that’s completely wrong.I understand that a lot of people are ignorant. Also the same old momo thukpa kitna tasty hota...

    Unreal hate in this sub

I get it that a large chunk of Bengalis migrated from Bangladesh in past 70 years. But you have to understand that a majority had migrated in the pre independence era itself from the right part of undivided Bengal (today's Bangladesh). Moreover cultural majority is something extremely common everywhere. And that doesn't mean that Bengalis are destroying the indigenous cultures everywhere. For context tripura tribals and indigenous people have their own board and even own elections. No one interferes in em Hate doesn't solve anything Am ready for downvotes...
