Recently we heard rumours that there are new robber gangs in the city. Today morning at around 4 my mom heard someone talking outside our house, when we later saw they stole things which are outside like detergent, rangoli powder and few small items. At around same time one of our neighbour got a knock on the door, he claims they were speaking Hindi. However, my mom said they were speaking in Kannada. Currently stuck in the line at the temple. I have to climb back down the stairs as that's where I've parked my vehicle. The sun has also set. Would it be safe for me to just walk down or is it better to call a friend to pick me up?

Mysore has a problem with creeps.

Edit: The comment section makes it clear that this isnt an isolated incident, women have been facing it since long time. Another pattern I noticed is men are brushing it off as "Isolated incidents", "its normal and cant help" or "instead of complaining i should fix this". Which is sad. A few days ago, I visited Mysore to meet a friend and explore the city. Mysore is absolutely stunning—so peaceful and serene. It's honestly one of the best places I can imagine for retirement. But that's beside the point....

Looking for a good gated society in Mysore

Hello, Yellarigu Namaskara 🙏 We are a family originally from Hubli, KA but currently living in Berlin. We plan to move to Mysuru within the span of 2-3 years, and are planning to buy a condominium apartment in a posh society. We are looking into upcoming projects specifically. We are looking for close proximity to good schools, hospitals, yoga classes, eateries etc. Sankalp group and Brigade are on the list for sure. Planning to visit Mysuru for 3 days.

Hello people of Mysuru 👋 I’ve heard so much about this city and i am planning to visit this weekend. Just wanted to know about safety as a solo female traveller. I’ve booked a hotel in the city center. I’m planning to use Ola/Uber to get around the city. I’ll be visiting the Palace, Zoo, Chamundi Hills, KRS dam, Karanji lake, Lingambudhi Park, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Kukkarahalli Lake and Srirangapatna. Any tips on do’s and don’ts will be appreciated.

A life’s worth is ₹30.

A man dies because he couldn’t afford ₹30/ night for a hospital dormitory, because he stayed outside for 3 days and nights to be there if the doctor needs. I acknowledge there are few people who need the freebies, but giving out to people who don’t need it is just not right. It could’ve been used for hospitals or someplace else, there might be govt hospitals where things might be free (I am not aware of it, please do let me know). Very disappointed with the way things are...
