My brief commentary on the Svarūpa prakāśikā pt 1

(My commentary will be in parenthesis, the text I will put in quotations) (Om! Praise be to the Self of all, which is simultaneously wholly imminent and wholly transcendent, which is simultaneously the cause of all apparent bondage and apparent liberation, the sole agent who is the very agency of the world through its powers of Willing, Knowing and Acting.) (In this short commentary I would like to share, to the best of my ability, the teachings of this wonderfully concise and short work, the Svarūpa-prakāśikā composed by Bhaṭṭa...

    How does Moksh work?

I'm born and raised as a Hindu but I've only recently started taking interest in Hinduism/Sanatan Dharm. Maybe because people mix it with politics a lot but that's not the point. I'm interested now and I would ask my mother if she wasn't sleeping lol How does someone gain moksh. I know about the karmic cycle and rebirths. But what is moksh? Do I become one with the gods? What happens to my soul? If you're at it, please explain it like I'm a 6 year old. I love...

In the world we live in today, instant gratification has become the norm. From the expectation of immediate replies to texts to the constant pursuit of quick results, we often struggle with waiting for things to unfold at their natural pace. The Right Effort,...

Telugu film adaptations of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have correctly portrayed Rama and Krishna as dark skinned (or dark blue), but many Hindi film/television adaptations have chosen to ignore the fact that "Krishna" and "Rama" literally mean "(pleasantly) dark"

**Although many aspects of the 2023 bilingual film '**[**Adipurush**](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adipurush)**' were rightly criticized, the film got at least one thing right: the skin color of Rama, whose defining physical characteristics include dark skin. Telugu film adaptations of (episodes of) the Ramayana and the Mahabharata have correctly portrayed Rama and Krishna as dark-skinned or dark-blue.** (A dark-blue depiction of Rama and Krishna is also acceptable from a creative/artistic standpoint based on some figurative descriptions in the epics despite the fact that no healthy human has blue skin technically.) Other Telugu film...

I find it almost impossible for us hindus to be united and see each other equally all throughout the country

Jati pratha being one of the core things of our religion where it labelled as person to be lower than another person is one of the biggest reason of internal discrimination till date , some rituals were demolished like widow burning , now its nothing but a history now why not do the same to this community pride thing ???

Anyone who recently went to MahaKumbh, share your experience? (Last week).

My family is planning to go there in the next few days, but looking at all the videos it seems like it's one chaotic place to be. I'm not a religious person, but my parents are excited so I wanted to go with them. So please tell me about your recent experience, from food to prices and atmosphere and so forth.

Namaste. I have a question about Vali and Vyadh

When Rama killed Vali, he did it while being hidden Therefore, Vali be mane Vyadh in Dwapar and shot an arrow in Krishna’s heel while being hidden himself. My question here is - when Vali died at the hands of Sri Rama, he had attained Mukti. Once he attained Mukti, he should not have been reincarnated in Dwapar? So how could a Mukta jiva reincarnate again ? That’s my question. Thanks for reading.
