I'm not from Gujarat and since my childhood I have been listening people saying UP/BIHAR people have a relation with gutka and it's also true to some extent but after coming to ahmedabad I feel gujarati men also have a problem with eating and spitting everywhere which made me feel pitty because of how beautiful this city is :( anyone else feel the same way?

i want to know about Khatedar (land purchase rights ) law in gujarat

my father had rights to buy agricultural land under this khatedar law. he passed away recently. he forgot to update my name under the land owner list. that farm land is in another district. i live in another district. now there is talks of inheritance division of farm land so if we split that farm land and sell it off and get money. can i still claim to register myself as khatedar so that in future i can buy farm land plot. or if i register my name under...

Inquiry about this place called "Paradava" and its historical information.

This post has to do with a village called Paradava, Jamnagar district, saurashtra, in the state of Gujarat. Few of the people that I know bear this surname, or versions of it, paradava, paradva etc. I am curious about it, but couldn't find much information. Whether there is a connection between the surname and the village, its etymology, any mention in historical texts, there isn't a railway close by plus the area is pretty sparse, when was it established, named such. Anything else.
