Replacing Konkani words (Roman konkani) i have noticed priests using unfamiliar terms during mass , my parents use words like communiao , espirito santo ,inferno, bautismo etc but the liturgy uses povitr atmo , povitr snan , iemkond etc , even the konkani in the bible sounds like marathi or the bardez dialect , i know this are all portuguese terms but if we remove all portuguese words from konkani , it wouldnt be the same , these terms are common but complex terms that are directly borrowed from portuguese were being used for... 1 0 replies
