How will you react, if you come to know that your partner is having physical relation with someone else?

Keep in mind that adultery cannot be a legal basis for separation in India.

    Over-generalized titles in posts nowadays

Almost every post I see in this sub these days, if it has a someone describing a problem they are facing with someone, the title is just phrased to discriminate against the whole group of people. "Why do mothers hate their daughters", and the post goes on to talk about an issue OP is having with their mother. "Why do Indian husbands take their wives for granted", and the post goes on to talk about an issue OP is having with their husband. And so on. This is concerning...

Why do mothers hate their daughters?

Pretty much the question. There is an unseen tension between me (23F) and my mom, which I think we both feel. I am vey scared of her mood, how would she react. She criticises me a lot, but provides me with homemade food-so I remain confused. Anything I say can result into a conflict. When I present a fact, she goes way above and beyond to prove me wrong.. Only thing we can agree on is how much her in laws are toxic, nothing else. One more thing I...

Is it fair to blame the Govt. for the country's challenges when, in reality, the responsibility to create value and drive progress lies with the people?

For example, our railway stations are filthy & overcrowded but who is responsible? Why airports are so clean but railway stations aren't? Because in metro, you can travel 120 kms for just 30 rupees. Basically, railways is run as a charity, for giving the poor masses, cheapest possible way to travel. Who is responsible that the masses are poor & only 2% is able to pay direct tax? Ideally, govt. shouldn't be in business. It's upon the people to take risks & create value in society. Are Indians doing...

Need Discussion on Banning White LED Headlights & High Beams - Road Safety Crisis

Seriously, can we please have a serious discussion about banning those blinding white LED headlights and the rampant misuse of high beams in India? It's becoming a massive road safety hazard. Whenever I m coming back to home from gym, half of the time I m blinded by my fellow Indians who don't even know what fog lamps are or high beam is. It seems like half the drivers out there have absolutely no clue how to use their headlights. They're driving around in cities with their fog lamps...

Why do Indian husbands start taking their wife for granted at some point of time

I am a doctor by profession and married for 2 years now. I always wanted my husband to respect me and stay connected on all topics. But now I feel that my husband has started taking me for granted and sometimes doesn’t listen to me. I don’t know if it’s normal. All I want is respect in the relationship. Please give tips.

What does "maturity" mean in terms of a lady's nature?

This question is for all the ladies and gents out there. What do you people mean when someone says that a lady is mature not physically but otherwise? What is the meaning of maturity, specifically in women? Does maturity mean being practical in life? How can a mature lady make or break a relationship? Is it good to be overly mature? All the inputs would be highly appreciated. Thanks to all.

Why can't we just live and let live?

just live and let others live. Too hard? I feel our society, especially Indian society, doesn’t want us to experience true freedom. We’re always scared of being judged. Funny enough, if you try to be different, you will be mocked. Maybe names will be called. Forget the old generation being judgy; the new generation is also in the same boat. They are more on it as social media exists with everyone now, and you can easily bash them. very few are breaking through but for how long will they...

Why do Indian people working in MNCs never miss a chance to lick a**es of firang counterparts or firang bosses?

I work with a top-tier (if that applies) American Company and it had been a week that I’ve been asking my senior (my boss’s counterpart) in another team to share an access which he owns. He never replied to me earlier and kept redirecting me to IT teams which are next level to sarkaari officers - kept moving me from one person to another. And then finally the request landed with a super sweet young girl (intern sorts) in IT team who told me that the guy, my senior...

Why do Indian parents manipulate their kids?

They say, 'We are so hardworking for you; you're our only hope.' Hope for what? To bring us out of poverty or the middle-class struggle? Even mothers say, 'We carried you for nine months.' Well, who asked them to get pregnant?
