I was curious about Durga but have no one to ask.

Sorry if this is not the right place to ask. I am an American who has have virtually no access to cultures outside of my country's imperialist/colonialist roots, and didn't know where else to ask. I stumbled across this goddess while looking at a what names mean site (associated with the name Maya?), then found [her wikipedia page](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durga). That's all the reliable information I could find on my own.
