Sad News. Honda City sales doubling from next quarter?
I want to point out that the people here in a car sub or people who generally research excessively about Cars are less than 1% of the population. Rest of the people just follow the Ads and go to a test drive and buy a car. Maruti caters to the need of the masses and discontinued Ciaz despite the love it received from the minority (enthusiasts with deep pockets and lives in pothole free cities) and focused on a CSUV that the majority buys. -
What did you buy as an adult because you were denied it as a child?
That's a great question and a new challenge to myself. I still vividly remember this one moment from 2009.
My Dad who seldom said no to my every "want" of a new toy, for the first time said no to this particular toy. My Dad, the guy, who never said no to buy a new Hotwheels track set or even Mattel's car / bike replicas, said no to buying a WWE championship spinner belt. I think these belts were introduced to the Indian markets in 2009 and cost somewhere around 1500-2000. This is one of those incidents I remember crying endlessly for saying NO to a WWE stuff because WWE was one of my major interest things back in childhood.
Dad was always kinda against me watching / consuming WWE content. I even remember, back in 2006, he literally dumped those new set of smaller pack of WWE cards which I bought.
While reading your question I felt like now I should buy that belt but after expressing nearly 3 paras, I feel that WWE championship replica belt sounds absurd now. I think instead I should buy a WWE show ticket if I ever happen to go to the US. -

Cars, actual cars. Ended up speed running through a few and have had several in last 10 years ( since I started working). Don’t think average families in India have these many in their lifetime lol -

"Last month, Brigade had entered into an MoU with Technopark to develop a World Trade Center (WTC) and allied amenities, developing around 1.5 million sq-ft of infrastructure, spread across a cluster of towers in Thiruvananthapuram. Brigade already signed and initiated the expansion of WTC in Kochi Infopark with its 3rd Tower, taking its IT infrastructure to over a million sq-ft. With the proposed development of a Luxury Island resort and Residential project, Brigade plans to bring in appx Rs 1500 crores investment to the state in the coming years".
'Vineet Verma, MD, WTC Trades & Projects, a Brigade Group company, said, “Kerala, with its supportive environment, continues to be our focus area across Commercial, IT Office space, Hospitality and Residential developments. These sectors have shown great promise in terms of growth and potential during the last few years. Also, Kerala is an established hotspot for IT/ITES & tourism. This in turn will drive overall demand. We are confident that with the support of the Kerala Government, we will be able to contribute to the growth of the state.”
