How to validate an idea/mvp with the audience being solely students? (i will not promote)
First advice is not to keep your idea a secret. It rarely makes sense doing so. Throw it at anybody you have the chance for advice, even potential competitors.
Second is learn how to properly interview people to validate your idea. I sense that you did it incorrectly when you say people "like the idea".
Third, VCs, in my experience, couldn't care less about your mvp. They will ask for initial traction.
Finally, you think about advertising too early. Try to refine your problem statement and secure the first few loyal customers maybe in your campus. If they don't buy it, then you will have much less luck through online advertising. -
Spoke to a digital marketing inf company
This sounds super sketchy.
We get $150 per blog post unless it's a highly technical or regulated industry.
We have a 10-hour monthly minimum that includes all of the various software and services we use for SEO. By the time you figure in doing the work, admin, and software costs, it's hard to get much done for less than 10 hours a month.
Keep in mind that quality backlinks aren't cheap. You're either buying them from quality sites or spending a lot of labor doing outreach to get links. A couple hundred a link is pretty common.
So $600/mo is not going to get you anyone legitimate. You're going to get crappy AI generated articles and poor results. -

There's plenty to do, but it typically comes with a price tag and usually there are people involved. Fucking people, man.

This was Shahrukh before he became SRK. Shah Rukh still considers it his best movie and has publicly said it's the closest to his heart. No wonder he bought the rights of the movie so no one could remake it. #31YearsOfKabhiHaanKabhiNaa.💙

How to tell if a trader is legit or not
First of all, that’s how the big boys do it. it’s standard practice among institutional managers to present their performance, it’s not just common, but a requirement. Why? Because, on average, they all lose. And these are institutions with resources that retail traders can only dream of. If they can’t consistently outperform the market, what can you realistically expect from retail traders?
Secondly, why do you think people ask for trading statements in the first place? It’s not just about eyeballing the bottom line (though, to be fair, some people do only that). A trading statement allows you to calculate a bunch of metrics that can tell whether a strategy is actually sustainable (among other things).
I’m sorry, but your comparisons are incredibly flawed. Comparing trading performance to hiring a plumber or locksmith makes no sense. If someone is selling a system/signals/money management services based on their supposed success, verifying their track record is completely reasonable. -
