The first thing to do will be putting AAP outside the govt. even Congress is better than AAP and also align punjab with the centre (punjab has not seen same party or coalition in date and centre in last 40 years, it really helps if same party is in power in state and centre for states which do not have a coast line)

Punjab has a very bright future if you can change the way people think. To my mind it starts with simpler things. It starts with pride. Be proud that you are a Punjabi but also be proud of the Punjab. Be proud of your Pind, of your mohalla, of your galli and of your house.

You can start this yourself. Collect chanda of say 20-25000. Very doable. Announce a competition for the cleanest galli, mohalla, pind whatever. Say that whichever one wins will get to spend 25k on something they need. Maybe it's road repair, maybe a swing for kids, hand pump etc.

Being proud of your identity is easy. Being proud of your surroundings will make you want to make them better.

In the South every morning women put something called a kolam or what you guys call rangoli outside the house. They clean their house then they sweep the part of the street outside their house. Even in the tiniest houses of the poorest slums they do this.

Second important thing is respect. Give respect and dignity to labour. Any work is work. Whether you're arguing in a Court like me or driving my car or stitching my files every work involves effort. Any labour should be valued. Whether done by a punjabi or not.

Third, and I am sorry for saying this, is that Punjabis from my experience in Delhi have a big fascination for people who earn money through corruption, get jobs through jugaad, get something free etc. This attitude needs to change. Teach your kids that money means nothing if you don't earn it with honest hard work. Don't praise such people in public. Shaadi me jaoge, don't say waah paaji aapne toh PWD dept me rehke 4 Mercedes kharidi. Instead look a little disgusted and don't socialise with the person. Shame is a powerful motivator and it comes only when someone breaks a societal value. Why shame couples who marry intercaste or interfaith when you should shame your chacha who is a corrupt tekhedar because of whom your roads are shit.

More than money and resources, people want working institutions and certainty that their business will flourish without unnecessary corruption, gundo ka dabav, their wives will not be harassed on the road, their kids will not do drugs in school etc.
