A couple of days back, TANGEDCO proudly shared a [video](https://x.com/TANGEDCO_Offcl/status/1867977141406843352) of a worker clearing branches of a tree by standing on live wire without adequate safety equipment and called it "கடமை அர்ப்பணிப்பு". Unfortunately, this was bound to happen. It's extremely sad that workers work under such unsafe conditions. TANGEDCO should take accountability and mandate safety gear and equipments while handling such things in future.

I couldn't find more information on why the wires were live while the staff was working or whether any safety equipment was provided to the staff who was working. Will update the description with more sources once I find them. If any one finds, please share in comments

Just 2 days back I had posted another video posted by TANGEDCO in their own handle where they had "proudly" displayed video of Staff working on wires without any safety equipment (Link below). Such incidents are not going to stop unless there is massive rehaul in operations of the company.

I have visited goa 5 times and never had problems with any local. They were always very hospitable and kind guys both in north and south goa and even I'm from Karnataka. English worked all the time for me. Most of locals are very much street smart and are well educated. Never even think their life depends on you and behave in that delusion. Goa existed before me and you and it'll exist even after that. If not for tourism goans will excel in another sector as the human capital is very well trained.

If you are civil and well behaved , people will treat you the same way.

Yes and yes. Get out of this situation before it gets any worse

Some time ago, I read that a corporator in India had commissioned a contractor to build a road. The terms of the contract was he’ll get his balance 50% of the payment only after the residents have approved of the road quality. The story goes that it rained the next week and the road was damaged, so the corporator took the contractor to task and asked him to repair the road for free, and didn’t release the balance until all the residents agreed it was of good quality.

I think we should start doing that. Ask the people how they feel about the work, rather than look at a bunch of papers with numbers on them.
