Nothing surprising. Dollar index has been rising rapidly in last couple months post Trump and DOGE, and RBI has adopted a floating peg approach to dollar so they have to support rupee and have it very slowly (2-3% per year) slide vs the dollar.

Dollar rises a lot > rupee is supported by RBI > rupee falls a little vs dollar but rises against other currencies which are free float and not manipulated.

When trump comes to office he’s gonna make the dollar fall to improve exports and reduce imports. Then rupee will fall too against most other currencies.

This is pretty much the best time to buy gold.
