How long should I hold International Gemological Institute(IGI) shares?
It's a fantastic company dude. Fundamentals are also good. Just hold it for long term if you can. Else can book profit after a week or around. Anyways it's a kind of unicorn in it's market I would say -

Fraud by Blinkit in Bangalore
My wife and I always have arguments on these delivery apps. I argue that if you need anything you till me and I will get it, the shops are hardly 200 meters from home. You always have to order more than what is needed for the "free delivery"
Same goes for food delivery. I have stopped ordering food and just go to nearby restaurants to order takeaway. Works out way cheaper.
The only time I order something from these apps is when I need some otc medicines and I can't go out due to work or when I'm at work. -
India readies for 400 million pilgrims at mammoth festival
> For the 2019 Ardh Kumbh at Prayagraj, the preparations included the construction of a ₹42,000 million (equivalent to ₹52 billion or US$630 million in 2023) temporary city over 2,500 hectares with 122,000 temporary toilets and range of accommodation from simple dormitory tents to 5-star tents, 800 special trains by the Indian Railways, artificially intelligent video surveillance and analytics by IBM, disease surveillance, river transport management by Inland Waterways Authority of India, and an app to help the visitors.
Once again, I must assert strongly that this is NOT appeasement. -
Why malaysia, singapore and thailand is not a popular immigration or even study abroad destination in india?
I studied in Singapore from 2012 to 2014. Many of my classmates were Indian students, but I think Singapore isn’t as popular as other countries for studying because:
1. There are fewer job opportunities after graduation.
2. Students in Singapore weren’t allowed to work while studying.
3. There were no pathways to permanent residency (PR). -
Clarity of Taxation in Old cars
I don’t think it’s that simple. It definitely matters for second-hand car owners.
Let’s say you bought a car for ₹10 lakhs and sold it to someone for ₹7 lakhs. In this case, there’s no tax because it’s a personal asset, and you sold it for less than what you paid.
Now, imagine you sold the car to a company like Spinny for ₹7 lakhs. If they resell the same car for 8 lakhs, the 1 lakh difference (profit margin for Spinny) is taxable for the company at 18%.
But here’s the catch: the company won’t be responsible for the tax. Instead, they’ll increase the price by 18%, and that’s the problem.
No way tax is going to keep prices same. It gonna affect the end user anyway. -
