It's been almost 2 months since I cut his supporters from my life.

I have found peace like I haven't seen in years. No more trying to debate morals, intelligence, and empathy as value instead of weakness. No more explaining consequences happen because of actions. No more daily interactions with the most entitled and angry individuals. I just decided to stop, and it's been so lovely. They are still trying to get into my life; now that I have found this calm, they have nothing to offer me.

I believe 'weaker' is an inappropriate word here. Indian women are less physically fit, less active.

I am an Indian woman living in Europe, since the past two years. Seeing women here is an inspiration to me, truly. All my life I grew up wanting to be academically perfect, get a job, get married - you know the drill. Physical fitness was just a subject in school, more like a time pass period. There is absolutely no emphasis on being outdoors for girls in India. No doubt, a lot of girls are hitting puberty before reaching the age of 10, perhaps due to deficiency in vitamin D.

Now due to Instagram fads, some urban people are following diets, going to the gym (occasionally?), etc. But obviously not all women can do that. Hence, a lot of women are getting practically obese. Earlier, women used to do back breaking household chores. Today, our lives are convenient. Washing machines, cars, etc have limited our movement (and yes, obviously made lives simpler thankfully), but we now even have maids for all chores which mean, people have simply stopped moving.

Despite facing some initial hardship here, I am actually grateful I move my ass everyday in this country, managing house hold chores with my husband, taking public transport to work, and also walking long distances and going on hikes, treks.

I wish Indian women are taught to be more disciplined when it comes to physical activity and fitness.

all thanks to my loud ass annoying roommates, i bought loop earplugs and it has easily become the best thing that i have bought this year. blocks out noise but not completely so i cam sleep in peace and still wake up to my alarms every morning.
