  20. After restarting my Macbook the gaps between menu bar icons disappeared. I tried restarting my Mac again and even restarting the menu bar itself through activity monitor and terminal but nothing worked.

    There is a terminal command to change the spacing. If you want to try changing it back, have a search with Google (the default setting is 6 I think).
