  15. Turtles are dying in large numbers due to destructive trawling practices by fishermen.

    I always wondered why SL navy arrests our guys, then I watched a documentary by Johnny Harris and only then I realized our fellows are the actual bad guys. Our fishermen also have completely destroyed the sea floor ecosystem. Too much consumerism greed. I read somewhere that a couple years ago, they deliberately kill turtle coz they eat the fish and also turtles are considered bad omens.
