Considering this is only a 25 episode show I was hoping for some more progress in his character arc. From previous promos it does seem like the gym instructor/Nikki will have some connection, and that and Seema's painful marriage will bring Ishaan to realize his mistake. I just hope they don't wait until the last episode for suddenly showing Ishaan's realization, but that they build towards that over the next few episodes so it feels like a natural progression rather than a quick/forced resolution.
