This is a major problem. It's a struggle to find a parking spot in many areas in TVM and when you do find one, you have some shopkeeper trying to chase us away or is now an auto stand. Urban infrastructure is woefully lacking. The only two places within the city where I like to take my car are ariya nivas and attukal temple because both have parking facilities.

I’m a college student with a Jeep, of the same year. It looks cool, yes, and it will have the attention of everyone.

But do note that it is also impractical af. It is slow and if you are going out with a bunch of people, you won’t be able to keep up. You will lack creature comforts, you really can’t take it too far away tbh because of time and effort, plus for a car of this age, you will require regular maintenance, I’ve spent upwards of 50k on maintaining my Jeep.


If your parents have a car which they are ready to lend you occasionally, then you can get the jeep, because when you need to go far or need to go out with a bunch of people, you can just borrow it for a couple of days.


If not, I’ll say you should get something else. I’m happy with my Jeep, but often I feel like i should have had another car instead of dailying this vehicle because of the above mentioned impracticalities

EVs are an eventuality and not a probability at the moment. Maybe the infra gets built over a stretched timespan but history will always look at Mahindra as leading the charge in the Indian scene with EVs that were built from scratch rather than modified from ICE vehicles. As the pioneer, M&M has earned the right to brag.
