I have no personal experience in VC funding, but I'd say like everything else in business, it's built on trust. If you don't trust that VC, then why have the meeting in the first place?

If your business has legs, as you think it does, you should be able to find another VC that doesn't have such a conflict of interest. I don't see how you can sugar coat it: it is a conflict of interest.

Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza make pathetic pizza in India. It started when they Indianised the pizza by putting in local flavors, paneer, and whatnot.

This is not what real pizza looks like. If you want a real pizza, how it is meant to be, then either travel to Italy where Italians make it themselves or go to a location in India where you get real Italian pizza.

Avoid Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza in India. It's just mediocre here. Real pizza tastes something outstanding. I don't know if you ever tasted a REAL one.
