My suggestion would be if you can increase the MF amount, you can go for SIPs or yearly lumpsum
Which you can use as both for short term emergency fund for half a year via SWP or as a retirement corpus. Would be best if you target Midcap funds for aggressive returns like Motilal Oswal Midcap Fund Growth and Larger Cap for Money security like DSP Midcap Regular fund or Tata Large and Midcap Fund (These funds also provide great returns but you need to patience, these funds will start compounding exponentially after 7-8 years)

But never go for Small Cap funds no matter how much people say they're "high risk, high returns".
They're simply garbage if it comes to returns
