As a first car under 10L
Amaze/i20/Fronx/Taisor - All fall in the category of reliable, no-nonsense cars with satisfactory service experience and low maintenance.
They’re all pretty decent to drive too and occasionally you’ll feel lack of power in these vehicles, especially within city limits where even more power stays unused. On highways, these engines are easily capable to maintain 100 kmph or even slightly more with good fuel efficiency.

Mahindra experience can be a hit or miss. Especially ASS.

Skip Tata, for peace of mind and even driving pleasure.

Not sure of Nissan’s future in India.

Citroen has good products but no guarantee of ASS network.

Kylaq is a smaller Kushaq - which is not a bad thing. With SMP you can be less worried of maintenance too.
But you’ll get Signature model under 10L, which might feel less feature loaded as compared to Amaze/i20/Fronx/Taisor.
