As someone who grew up outside of India, let me give you some advice so you avoid disappointment later on.

Your kid may or may not give a shit about Malayalam. You can try all you want but if he identifies with Dutch culture more and chooses to ignore his Keralan culture, there is nothing you can do about it. That will be his choice as he grows up.

Feel free to teach him Malayalam but also be aware of this eventual possibility.
