Trump and Justice Alito spoke just hours before urging Supreme Court to block hush money sentencing
I remember the Court during the Eisenhower administration. While I don’t fault the high court for deciding on cases differently than I might, I do hold them responsible for the shameful lack of ethical behavior on the part of one and possibly two associate justices. Never before has public confidence in the U.S. Supreme Court been this low, and Chief Justice Roberts seems intent on turning a blind eye to it. For shame! -

Is it really possible to get funding pre launch?
I got funding pre-launch. Yes, I have connections. But second time around, I'm not seeking funding until much later.
Here's the problem. There's a 99.9% chance that your idea doesn't have product-market fit. What happens if you launch and get valuable feedback from early adopters? You'll want to implement that feedback, and commence the build-measure-learn feedback loop (assuming you're following the lean startup method).
But you've already pitched the roadmap to your investors, and they've bought into your pitch with real money. Your venture capitalist isn't in your target audience. So, the opinion of real users is 1000x more valuable than what your VC thinks. But who are you going to listen to -- someone who is paying you $5/month, or someone who cut you a $100,000 check and legally owns more vested equity than you?
You can't just say, "Hey! I just got an idea. Let's spend an hour coding, throw it up on the server, and do some A/B testing to see if it works." No, you need to have a 3-hour meeting, prepare a powerpoint presentation, and spend the entire weekend trying to figure out how to word it VERY carefully to make sure no questions come up about why you were wrong with your previous roadmap, or the one before that.
I felt like we were spending all our time trying to make our VC happy -- and he wasn't even one of our customers. Yes, he would open up our app in his browser every morning at 9am and play around with it, but it was just a toy to him. It didn't solve any problem that he personally had.
YMMV. It's possible that we got a bad VC, and all the others are delightful people to work with. But unless you're Mark Zuckerberg, you've probably got slim pickings when it comes to VCs who are willing to fund you. Which is why I'm not seeking funding until I have excellent stats, which will give me leverage to get in touch with some of the "good" VCs.
EDIT: I'm exaggerating a bit. Got kindof carried away while writing this. Yes, really did multiple have numerous pointless 3-hour meetings over a MVP that we ultimately trashed. But not as many as I'm implying. -

Is it really possible to get funding pre launch?
I’ve seen it. Typically in projects that have significant compliance requirements such as FCC or FDA approval. I was talking to a virologist (sp? Someone who studies viruses) who told me that FDA approval for animal projects starts at $25M. So obviously this is not normally self funded. -
He would know.
So if as Trump's team argues Smith was illegally appointed as special counsel then having the government keep his personal report from being published would be a 1st amendment violation.
If Smith was properly appointed he is required to submit the report and Garland has promised to publish it.
