I have lived in many tier 2 cities across India and I can guarantee this is the same situation everywhere , availability of skilled labourers like carpenters and plumbers is generally very scarce

In smaller cities unless you have been staying there for years and have built relationships with the local workers it's highly unlikely you will get any help immediately

Also People come to Goa from abroad and metros like Mumbai and Bangalore, expecting similar levels of service and amenities where they live in gated apartments and have an app to call someone to fix a lightbulb while paying lakhs in maintenance charges

Most of Goa is still a village, barely a decade ago many villages in south Goa did not even have proper water and electricity !!!!!

People built their own houses and fixed their own furniture, painted their own houses .......

This notion that every Goan is drunk by 12pm is absolute BS and quite frankly annoying
