Because the city is so populated, decentralization of resources and districts is the only solution. Move some of the population magnets out of the city and people, skyscrapers, real estate prices will follow. That's when you'll save your balconies.

We took our balcony inside and made my hall look really big.. Most people convert their balconies and club it into big hall or convert it into the kitchen... this is the best way to utilize the extra space.. otherwise, we would have used it to dump useless stuff ..
