If that was indeed true, Raama wouldn't have prayed to Rameshwaram Lingam.

`Shaiva pages straight up hating on Bhagwan Vishnu or Vaishnavas.`

Not entirely true. I have seen them character assassinate Raama (so called banishing of Sita, which basically never happened) , Krishna (For being polygamous, and not marrying Radha) and Vishnu (Vrinda) many times. They have also called Vishnu weak and powerless in front of Shiva. But they fail to forget, it was Shiva who said "Shri Raama Raama Raameti .. "

  15. Swing Trading or Day Trading?

    8 months
I go with investing, day trading, and swing trading. That's how I analyze each of the stocks I decide to research. I prefer that the stock "scores" at least an 85 on both Swing Trade and Day Trade before getting into a day trade. That way if it doesn't work out for the day, I can reassess and turn it into a swing trading opportunity.

If the stock scores 85+ on all three (day trading, investing, swing trading), I hope for a day trade, reassess to a swing trade, and if neither of those work out I at least feel confident enough to hold it for the long term.

I have free analyses of stocks on my sub r/aiswingtrading I also have a KoFi that is donation only. Meaning no membership tiers or any of that. Just support me and I support you. My hope is that you'll use the insights to make money and, if you find it valuable, consider throwing a bit back my way. But no pressure I genuinely just enjoy sharing what I know about trading.

  17. Is there any such thing as repenting for your sins in our culture?

    8 months
I'm 30 years old and have realized one thing that is true. All actions originate from intention. Which then means that Karma has "dependent origination" from Sankalpa.

Now, with the right intention you can exhaust any sort of negative karma. The question then arises that how do we have the right intention when all one can think about is random thoughts. I mean think of it this way. Let's say you have a habit of smoking and want to get rid of it. But you constantly have the same thoughts like "I wanna smoke a cigarette", that creates an intention and the mind executes that by simply performing the action of smoking. You may not realize but the mind has a habit of doing this and is automatically doing it. Same goes for any other habit. The mind is simply running on auto pilot following the algorithm of subconscious programming. Thats why philosophers say we don't have free will.

Now, if you want to change your habits - which btw includes the habits that you think are bad (for which you later feel remorseful about that it was bad karma). These habits can be changed. You need to practice meditation strictly. And by strictly I mean do it everyday and not skip any day. Meditation is the only way you can actually change your subconscious programming and actually mindfully break habits and create right intentions and eventually do the right actions to create positive karma.

The next question then arises - what is meditation and how do I do it? I am sure you have read many articles with people saying do this, do that. But meditation is actually very simple in its instruction. The only problem is that it is a hard practice.

All you need to do is to pay attention to your object (eg: breath) and if a thought arises you need to mindfully return back to your breath. You need to keep on doing it uncountable times. You need to also be aware that while you pay attention at the breath you can not strain yourself. Meaning u need to be utterly relaxed while paying attention. Its like you need to be more and more relaxed as your practice gets deeper but also simultaneously have better concentration. To put simply you need to cultivate relaxed concentration.

In our day to day life when we concentrate we always strain while concentrating which is not to be done here. Eventually in a few years of consistent practice you will become better and the mind will become more unified. You will not have random thoughts and would have better control over your mind.

At that stage you can progress further and aim for higher spiritual growth. You can then read up on Jhanas, samadhi, etc.
