My allergies used to get worse in Bangalore as winter sets and had to take montek lc almost every 3 days in peak winter to sleep without sneezing.

Currently from about 10 months, i am taking sub lingual immunotherapy drops from Chanre institute Rajajinagar(costs about 10k a year and should apparently be taken for 3 years to make your immune system get used to these allergens. It is a liquid made from the same things to which you're allergic but in small concentration. You need to take 5 drops a day under your tongue) and my allergic sneezing etc are far less now. You need to take a blood and food test for what allergens affect you. It's a test that costs about 12k.

Note: This treatment should not be confused with any homeopathic one as it sounds similar, but it's not. I wasted years trying to fix it with homeopathy.

I am allergic mostly to dust mites. I guess most people suffering from allergies in winter in India are allergic to dust mites. These are mainly found in your bedspread. You need to wash your bedspread atleast once in 3 days at about 40-60 degrees and preferably dry it in sun. That kills the dust mites. Also iron your clothes before wearing them if they have been stored for a long time.

Also what helps a lot is sleeping with a room heater and preferably a humidifier in winters. A warm room feels less allergy triggering.

Keep your house as dust free as possible.

Wear masks if you're in dusty conditions like office travel, cleaning at home etc.

Don't go outside home at late night or early mornings when it's cold outside.

Wear a jacket while travelling. Don't let blowing wind hit your chest with just a Thin t shirt on you. This triggers or exacerbates the allergic reaction..

If you have too many pigeons near your balcony, get a pigeon net. Their poop apparently turns into something that's not good to inhale, especially for those with allergies but even those without allergies should keep pigeons away.

If untreated, allergic reactions apparently get worse every year so it's suggested to get it treated asap.
