Having a sales person sell products with ARR less than $10K per customer is super hard to justify.

You either need land and expand potential, extremely long life times of customers, and/or super abundant and easily acquired pipeline. Ideally all three of these and even then it would be a risky shift for a sales person.

Here are some numbers - only considering enterprise.

Let’s say the sales person closes one in five opportunities to a deal. So 20%.

So it takes the sales person 5 conversations/calls to convert an account worth $1200.

Now let’s say that for some magical reason the sales person is able to have 5 calls everyday of the week. He will be closing 20 customers per month. That’s $24.000 in new deals per month, and $288.000 per year.

What sort of salary can the sales person expect? $120K plus commission?

Any sales person that can achieve the fabled results above can easily get a job that pays 2-3x that amount.

Let’s see about lead generation.

Does the product have any pipeline? Is there strong demand for this kind product? Is it obvious to the buyer upon seeing the product that they need it? Do you have product market fit?
Do you have any customers at all?
