At the moment pilot hiring has been stopped for the next 2-3 months, as the rumour is. IndiGo recieved a few engines from P&W a few months ago but that's again stopped now. So only a few of the grounded aircraft were able to come back to service. IndiGo has also increased thier wet lease with norse, corendon and Qatar. Although they are receiving new aircraft from Airbus some are used to replace older ones, at a rate that we cannot predict. Pre Covid the average age of the fleet used to be 2.5 years but now it's 4 years. Many experienced pilots keep leaving the company as well so the company cannot rely only on the jfo program to replace that experience and commanders. So basically it's a very dynamic topic which keeps changing based on so many factors. IndiGo also does not share their strategies or information even within the company, they are very careful about what is told to the employees and media.

As a result, managements pocket large sums from hopeful teachers, often holding onto the money for years and likely reinvesting it for profit. Some eventually return the funds but only after making significant financial gains. Others take money from multiple candidates for a single position, using it for their own benefit before refunding the unsuccessful applicants. In cases where the government finally approves a position, only one candidate is selected, while the rest are dismissed. This creates a continuous cycle of deception, turning the hiring process into a borderline scam where managements exploit desperate teachers for financial gain.
