If you are hosting 300+ people that too at a public space, organizers should have some sense that they should have permission concerned authorities. If anything goes wrong, who's gonna take the blame up?
 Confiscating the books was such a wrong move by the horticulture department although they could have dealt with situation in a different way. But we shouldn't also forget cubbon reads organizers at fault since they couldn't have basic sense of taking permission to host the event especially.

Idk. I am a news junkie but by the time it's mainstream it's mostly old news. I made out big by buying UNH when it bottomed out after the CEO shooting. It's already returned 5% in, what, 3 days or so? and I'm expecting that to soar after a conviction.

For long term stuff, I look at medical and physics journals for clinical trials and new patents. I've been thrilled with Jupiter Neurosciences and a few other early medical stocks for asthma and Parkinson's.

As for what time of day is safe, I only check once a day and set buy limits for 10% more than the lowest price the day before. It's been working for me. I'm trying to have a good work life balance and also don't want to cross over to day trading because of the hassle. I only have two day trades left before Dec 31 without getting myself into trouble.

So far, my average is 2.1% a day, which is well above expectations, but I give myself a $20 buy limit a week. It still feels like gambling to me, but I haven't sold anything for less than a 3% profit yet.

Edit: I still see UNH dip to a buyable number every day. If you want a quick turnaround, I'd set a buy at sub 490 and a sell at 500. Because I've seen that spread every day for the last several. For a longer term I'd set a buy order for sub 500 and sit on it. A 20% turnaround isn't bad at all. If it takes 3 years to get back to pre-shooting stock prices, you've outperformed the market. And that seems like a no-brainer. For-profit healthcare isn't going anywhere in the next four years.
