    It is very important that each and every Northeastern person learn about the Konbaung Dynasty and the Treaty of Yandaboo that saw us become part of British India. Besides this, there is very little understanding of our fellow NE people's history even if one is interested in history.

    If we learn each other's history, we would have a better understanding and respect for each other.
