I used to work with an NGO where we have to teach English to kids in orphanages and backward areas every week for 2 hours. After working with them for 2 years. I got to know that orphanages will get enough funds which they don't use fully for the purposes of the kids there but they use it for their own benefits. Ik you will say that I'll cut a cake and give them some geometry box or drawing kits trust me they already have an ample amount. Kids will use them and throw like it's nothing because it becomes a normal thing for them to receive these kinda things.

Free Suggestion -

If you really want to celebrate your birthday, choose a person from your circle be it your relative, friend or the watchman that you cross your paths everyday. Pick one out of these people, who needs the money or affection at the given point of time. Whatever your budget you have for this Orphanage thing, spend that money on that person you know. Even if it is a small amount they will remember you forever ♾️. There is no point in celebrating our birthdays or giving away free bees to the people we don't know, just my point of view.

Once I took my friend for dinner and there was no day that I passed without his call/message. I feel special whenever he calls me and asks me how I am doing. I feel good to know there are people who care about my existence 😅
