My father had been in a similar scam. He wanted to ask about creating an demat account to the SBI customer care. The guy answered and said he will contact soon..

Fast-forward 5 minutes a new guy called claiming he is from SBI. To add more credibility he knows all details like customer number and bank account number. Now that he has gained the trust, he was able to navigate the conversation into installing the screenshare app and eventually able to get 70k from the UPI app. All I could say my father was that "don't worry, I'll earn that again quickly".

There's no way that the scammer knows so much bank details unless he also works for the bank. I'm not trusting SBI including the bank officers from that point onwards.

I'll give 15k it is a very fair price because it is 4 years old and only 64gb in 2025 with 89% battery life

It should be made an all India thing.
