  1. Anyone else struggle with staying consistent on personal & work goals? [i will not promote]

    2 months
I support this - these kind of groups are amazing, and push you further than you can ever go alone. I wish I had done more of this earlier in my startup journey.

    But one small note:

    > I've always struggled with staying on track and motivated

This sentence made my ADHD spidy senses tingle. If this (accountability, consistency, executive function, "just sitting down and doing it") is a problem that severely impacts multiple areas of your life, try filling out this test: https://add.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/adhd-questionnaire-ASRS111.pdf

You can also fill it out just for shits and giggles.

It's not an ADHD diagnosis or anything. A full diagnosis is to be done by a medical professional (who will rule out other possible explanation for the sumptoms), but if you

    - score highly on it (four or more marks in the shaded areas of part A)
    - and especially if you would say those symptoms existed since back when you were younger than 10

then I'd recommend talking to your GP, or whoever the first line of contact is in the healthcare of your country.

This specific test is often used early in the screening process of a medical diagnosis.

I'm saying this because I've been in startups for over 10 years, struggled a lot with accountability, and did checkins, did all form of project management, tried every fucking atomic-habit whatever in the world. It certainly *helps*, and if I was "in the mood" for a problem I could work on it forever. But it was always fickle, I was always less consistent than I wanted to be, no matter how many self-help tricks I tried.

The proper first-line treatment for adult ADHD has helped me immensely, and the difference in performance is night-and-day in some cases, especially for "shitty" tasks. Also, I was a successful-ish founder before, but *man* were there unnecssary struggles and unforced errors.

It’s only the end of us currency’s being the resource for all foreign currency. There is no impact from the stability promises by America being revealed
As a hoax. I’m glad. Never invested in the American dream 😴
  3. Dholavira

It's a great ride, I did took this route in December. The Khavda-Dholavira road is of course scenic bit I also really enjoyed to roads from Bhuj till Khavda. There was absolutely no one around.
  4. As a North Indian tired of seeing hate between us, I’d like know from South Indians themselves whats wrong? And how to make it right?

    2 months
Air quality, economy, pollution, population, education, and quality of life is better in South India compared to North India.

But the government is in North India, and governed by North Indians.
  5. For those who bootstrapped AI startup, how much did development cost? I will not promote

Built a dead simple GPT wrapper app (not posting because I think that's against rules). GPT-4 mini credits are super cheap. I'd try to estimate your expected usage per core user flow. Ex. Main user flow requires X requests averaging Y tokens per request.

Vercel for a personal project is free. Not storing anything in a database (yet), but that would add 10s of dollars per month depending on needs.

Currently it's just the 10 dollars for API credits and the domain my non-technical founder insisted on buying immediately (70 bucks a year).
  6. We don't need Hindi and three language policy, I highly agree with this statement.

  7. House Dem Launches Probe After White House Says Musk Not Part of DOGE

The Dems can't get the fuck out of their own way. YOU NEED A SOCK FULL OF BATTERIES NOT DECORUM.
  8. Some federal workers are ‘getting wealthy at taxpayer expense,’ says Elon Musk, whose companies have received at least $20 billion from the government

    3 months
The government website for Doge drives traffic to Twitter.

Let me say that louder for the people who don't quite understand. The government run website drives traffic to a privately owned entity which garners money from advertising on the website. Elon Musk is making money using a government run website.
  9. Dharma & different approaches to uphold it.

    3 months
Shree Krishna never bent any rules that mattered. He was always on the path of Dharma regardless. Same for Shree Rama, but during Shree Rama's time, the societal rules were in accordance with Dharma, while they were not during Shree Krishna's time.

  13. Opinion: Trump emulates Hitler in seeking to erase transgender people. Trump, Musk, and Vance have gone to great lengths to copy and condone the barbarism and savagery of Hitler and the Nazi party, argues John Casey.

i'm a contractor and i run my own ai projects as well,

i've worked on/at several ai startups since 2023, at least one of them is a category leader right now.

    theres usually:

    a frontend

a backend in python with AI stuff handled there too (so traditional backend stuff + implementations)

    a managed vector store

process management layer (think embedding queue)

api tie ins with major vendors

prompt management / testing (langsmith, arize, etc)

graph organization of some kind (langgraph, llamaindex workflows, some custom thing)
  20. Many Americans don’t trust the media to cover Trump: Survey

    3 months
I know I sure don't! PBS is doing the best job of the media I follow. The rest either quickly cover anything he's doing or completely ignore it period. I truly think a lot of people simply aren't aware of everything he and Musk are doing since the much of the media are either lazy, incompetent or complicit. I smell something fishy with a lot of them.
