Take a step back and look at the larger picture.

Look at the root cause of allows this to happen?

34% Indians have never been to school. 76% Indians have not studied beyond 10th standard. 64% live in rural areas. 55% aren’t even on the internet. 15% are poor. The average Indian makes around Rs 21,000/- a month.

In other words, a vast majority of India’s voting block have other pressing issues. For many, thinking beyond tomorrow is a privilege. The climate, economy, and quality of life means nothing to them.

You and I are part of a minority. 90% don’t speak English, so this particular post is not reaching anyone really.

Unless the majority of India is able to make rational decisions, based on data, India is going to follow a similar pattern.

Our population is only going to increase until 2060. Think about how bad it’s going to get. How old will you be then?

This is a generational issue. We can make as much noise as we can but systems only react to incentives. If there is no incentive to change then it won’t.

Today we have 3 possible scenarios.

1. Gradualism (most likely) : Our country will huff and puff for 3 more decades and get healthier towards that timeframe.

2.Radicalism (unlikely) : Some catalyst causes radical, unforeseen changes. It could be splitting into smaller political units and forming a union of countries, it could be benevolent dictator, it could be technologically driven changes.

3. Long term degradation (likely): Nothing really changes, one issues causes another five issues and we go on like that for the rest of this century.
