I get that Monica has self-appointed herself as some sort of spokesperson for brown representation on the internet, but honestly, Indian consumers who’ve actually used FAE Beauty know how the formulations and products perform. Most of these consumers aren’t influencers they’re just regular people who genuinely enjoy the products have posted on Reddit too. So, while I sometimes value diverse opinions, I don’t see why Monica gets to decide what’s “brown girl-friendly” or “Indian-friendly.”

The reality is, many of us here love the brand and its offerings. Plus, FAE Beauty has always taken constructive criticism they’ve reformulated and repackaged where needed, which shows how much they value their audience. This whole cloud-chasing narrative Monica is pushing might work for certain brands elsewhere, but it doesn’t resonate here. It feels unnecessary and out of touch with what Indian consumers actually think and feel.
