Yeah it’s crazy, once in college, I had to switch rooms in between the semester and got allotted a room on the NRI floor. These kids would often get 50-60k in the first year, where food and accommodation has already been paid for. I remember this one dude who threw a 1L party after getting a 6LPA job…. That’s literally 2 months of their salary!
However there are few gems in between, the person who actually encouraged me to get a job in my 2nd year was an NRI himself who had no need for a job.
