We, as citizens, need to dissociate currency valuation from our emotions. With Donald Trump coming in and looming tariff threats, the devaluation of the rupee is only good for our industries.

We need a stable export market to industrialize properly and if the rupee doesn't fall further, our exports will never remain competitive with Chinese products. In fact, RBI should let the rupee fall further.

As long as people in India prosper, we shouldn't care much about whether our economy is 4.1 trillion USD or 4.3 trillion. I'd much rather have a 4.1 trillion USD economy that is better industrialized and has a competitive export advantage.
