hey! im gonna share what ive learned from helping lots of ecommerce sites with this exact challenge

for ecommerce, you actually want a mix of both product page and domain-level backlinks. heres why:

domain backlinks build overall site authority which helps ALL your pages rank better. but getting some targeted backlinks to key product/category pages can give them an extra boost for specific searches.

for agricultural inputs, i'd recommend:
1. focus main backlink efforts on your homepage + category pages first
2. only build specific product page backlinks for your best selling/highest margin items
3. make sure ur internal linking is solid (helps spread link juice to all products)

and yes backlinks are definitely important for ecom! especially in specialized industries where trust matters. having authoritative sites link to u shows google ur legit

pro tip: look for industry publications, agricultural blogs, farming forums etc. those niche-relevant links are worth way more than random general ones

i actually built backlinker ai to help ecom sites get quality backlinks at scale (its been super effective for specialty product sites). but even if u do it manually, just focus on getting links from sites that ur target customers actually read n trust.
