The Indian family court has become a dhandha. Lawyers, police and judges have agents whose sole purpose is to fish for clients and then pitch them huge settlements. These people want the women to ask for 7-8 figure settlement in return for 15-20% percentage in it.

This looks like a typical case. I suspect, Mr and Mrs Khurana went for a mutual divorce and agreed upon settlement as per mutual understanding. But these agents got hold of the wife and her family and then this harassment started.

The ₹10 lakhs renewed settlement that they are asking includes fees for these agents and their employer lawyers and judges.

The situation is so bad that divorces are seldom granted wherein this settlement extortion and percentage transactions don't take place.

This is a business and people from law enforcement and judiciary are deeply involved.

Pathetic Indian Tourist Traps, greedy ass people, they would have charged 100-150 if it was a local person. They instantly identify if you are not local and they heavily overcharge. Can't do anything other than cursing them.

At age 16, read boogle heads guide to investing, put that 2k into VTI and plan to hold it for 40 years. You'll beat 99% of the market.

Go look up FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) and do it.

Finish high school with good grades and go to college for the most difficult degree you can stomach.

If you want to trade and work in finance, do paper trading along the way so you'll have something to talk about during a job interview.

If you double major in something like math and applied physics at a top school, you can get hired by quant funds and make $$$ trading.
