After seeing a spike in SEO for some of my blog posts (probably due to Google Trends / seasons / etc,) - I sought to improve the blog posts.


What worked well was the following:

\- Implement schema markup where possible.

\- Add tables of information or other organized text

\- Add more videos and images <- people love them as a reference (don't worry, you can use YouTube videos too if you have any. If your article is worth it then people will continue to scroll)

\- **Focus on E-E-A-T** <-- this is because Google now focuses on expertise/authority/trustworthiness - I've created a tool for this that other SEO agencies use

\- Follow the document outline (1x h1 unless you have multiple "main" topics which is rare, h3 goes under h2, and have a few h2s)

\- discover ways that you can introduce more traffic to your site <- social media announcements to your blog for example of your blog post's new updates recently implemented - Google checks your Social media

\- **In fact**, make sure your social media links are in the footer of your website <- Google checks this out I found out when they scanned (they have a tool in Google Ads which found that discovered my website's social media and suggested I share it on Twitter too, I'm sure they're smarter in their algorithms)



When to overhaul your blog posts?

I highly recommend do not overhaul your blog posts if it is already performing REALLY well (your top 10 highest traffic posts, for example) ... But if it is outside the top 10 or top 20, then you can overhaul it (move headings around, etc.)
