I had a look at their white paper, and it's actually doing something pretty useful in this space.

Had this happen to me not long back near Thane station, near some jewellery shop.
Walked up to me while I was having juice at a shop next to the tea stall and asked me for 20. I just turned to face him and told him he reeked of alcohol, didn’t bother responding to his question. I’m sure he needed it for a smoke or something, there’s a tapri next to the tea stall. He stared and walked away trying to find someone else. All of this at 10:30-11am mind you 😂

You did well. Just stand your ground, be curt and assertive. Don’t give them any unnecessary details, names or even maharashtrian or not, in case they ask anything. They know they can’t create a scene especially when they’re reeking of alcohol, won’t work well for them.
