I don't know anything about Record of Ragnarok but by doing a very quick Google search and by going through Record of Ragnarok's Wikipedia page, I can see the anime raised concerns about the portrayal of Shiva and other Hindu deities. If the deities have been distorted or trivialized in the anime, then you've just been ignorant and unknowingly disrespectful and not at all deliberately racist.
