I wouldnt say "copywriting" is extremely important and its certainly not necessary for an SEO/PPC (SEM) Agency.

Almost anyone can "do" copywriting and you dont have to be a professional writer.

And SEO agencies can lean on a bunch of critical skills - technical, architecture, messaging, domains, SME/domain expertise, multi-national focus, analytics etc

And you dont have to be a professional copywriter to write for SEO. You can have experience, education, expertise, be observant, articulate. A lot of great landing pages are created. I work in B2B Tech/SaaS/Cloud - most copywriters can't write about cloud PoPs and how packet loss is detected and fixed (random example).

Google 1000% does not "ding" or "subtract" points for writing literacy/accuracy. Some people may argue that writing quality affects "buyers" - I'd say it affects some people (mostly writers!) - buyers in the cloud economy are often professional experts who may not be researching in their first language (i.e who cares, its subjective).

The only best thing to do is teach them the good ways and leave at it. You can have a blueprint, but you cannot have the brain of that child absorbing the realizations we had at 20 into their 10 year old brain.
