I too didn't had any female friends until college and I didn't even forced to make one, in college too I didn't had in the 1st sem, 2nd sem suddenly I had a couple of female friends because I was trying on one girl with her some girls became friends but in reality when I spend time with them, I didn't felt good, it was forceful and I missed out on many things which my male group was having fun... In reality the female friends were boring for my sense and every female friend I had, felt bored... Then Corona happened and I became good friends with my school female classmate, we spent a lot of time together but all the while it felt boring most of it felt like being used and at work I didn't try to make a female friend but had some, they were little exciting but I would say not interesting enough and your priority also changes, you stop trying to be friends with someone, if it's meant to be, it will be... And after cutting all my female friends, boy I would say what a relief I have, all the time girls would invite you to meet them, have chit chat with them, go to the same places to eat or visit again and again... It feels like they are forcing themselves onto you, with guys its much better just go for 5 minutes and that's it or you can even chill with them only in a simple place like sitting in a car, park, tapri... I would even say I too didn't had any girl tying rakhi on my hand, If you don't talk to girls how would you have female friends just talk to them and assuming your situation, it's better you don't cause they will bring their useless problems and whine, favours they ask are too much... You can't even say no to them straight on their face, they will think that you're rude or egoistic, with girls you always are in some fights, issues, you're saying that you want to share something out of the attention, the face they make when you say something that you're distressed about, they don't even want to listen to your problems it's only their world you should listen too... When you ask them favours or ask them to go with you someplace, mostly they will say no at first, I don't like their company so I don't persuade them to join

By story you strictly mean like the story right, the plot? Not the characters and dialogues and all that cause it’s tough to decide.

Here's my rule of thumb with directories.

If your brand name contains a useful keyword, eg 'The Shoe Guys' then some generic directories (check they're indexed etc etc first) can be useful.

If your brand does not contain a keyword, then you're much, much better off in finding either geographically local directories, or directories about your niche.

There's more to it than that of course, but that's a good starter.
